- Good Day Gentleman, I hope all is well. I spoke to an individual here in Orlando, FL who sold a residential home and got hit with Capital Gaines from the IRS. Later they bought another house. Neither properties were investment home just owner occupied. Can they file any documents to reclaim the taxes they had to pay to the IRS from the Capital Gaines.
